How To Install Apks / Apps On A Fire Stick

  1. How to Install APKS / APPS on a Fire Stick

We will now go through the instructions to sideload apps on Fire Sticks. When we sideload an app, it means the app is not present in the Amazon Store. To install such apps, we first need to make a small change in the Security set up of FireStick. Here are the steps:

    1. Go to the home screen of your Fire Stick or Fire TV and select the option Settings on the top

    2. The following options appear within Settings. Select and click Device

    3. Next, choose Developer Options

4.*Make sure ADB Debugging and Unknown Sources are enabled.

If the Apps from Unknown Sources is OFF, click it and turn it ON

    5.  The following warning message will be displayed on your Fire Stick screen." Don't worry about the warning."

The security part of the Fire Stick device is thus taken care of. We can now get started with the core installation instructions.

    Here we go:

Step 1: The very first thing you want to do is install the Downloader app on your device. You need the Downloader app to install apps onto your Fire Stick. You can’t download the APK directly from a browser.

Downloader app is on Amazon Store. From the Fire Stick home-screen choose Search (magnifying glass icon) on the top left and type in the name of the app. Select Downloader in the search results and follow the onscreen instructions to install it.

Step 2: Now open the Downloader app.

You will notice that it launches with the Home tab clicked by default. Navigate to the URL field on the right and click it. Scroll to the left and click on settings.

Check all 3 sections in your settings on the Downloader App.
    A. APK auto install
    B. Auto open web browser
    C. Enable Java script

Step 3: The new window that pops up allows you to enter the source URL of the APK using the onscreen keyboard. The video will use CinemaHD as an example. You will enter the following URL.

    Click GO

    Download Broadcasting Hut

Step 4: The next window that pops up will display Downloader connecting to the server. The subsequent window will show it downloading the Broadcasting Hut APK file onto your Fire Stick device.

    Let the download complete

Step 5: The installation will initiate on its own. On the following screen, use your remote navigation keys to select the Next button (bottom right)

Step 6: The Next button will be replaced by Install. Now, go ahead and click Install

    Click Install Broadcasting Hut

Step 7: This is where the Fire Stick will begin to install Broadcasting Hut app from the APK file you downloaded a little earlier.

The process takes a couple of minutes

Step 8: When the Fire Stick has finally installed the Broadcasting Hut app, you will be notified with the following window.

If you want, you can click Open and launch Broadcasting Hut on your Fire Stick right from this window.

    I recommend clicking Done

Step 9: Clicking Done in the previous step takes you to the Downloader app where you see the following prompt. Highlight Delete using your remote and click it.

We are going to Delete the Broadcasting Hut APK file from the Fire Stick. This file is of no use after the app installation is complete. Erasing the file will save you some space on the device storage.

Step 10: Click Delete another time to finally delete the Broadcasting Hut APK

With this, you have successfully installed the Broadcasting Hut APK on the Fire Stick. You have also successfully deleted the Broadcasting Hut APK.

Can’t find Broadcasting Hut APK on the Fire Stick home-screen? That’s because new apps do not get the spot on the main screen. But, you can always access them in Your Apps & Channels. Scroll all the way to the right or left and click on "See All"

You can also, get there by long pressing the Home button on the Fire Stick remote and click Apps when the following window is displayed.

After selecting the app icon, you may press the menu button (The 3 Lines) on your remote and click Move To The Front. This way, you can move the icon to the top row and make the Broadcasting Hut app appear on your home screen.
